At Appalachian Highlands Endodontics, we want our care to be accessible for those that desire to save their teeth through endodontic specialty care. All patients are welcome to receive care in our clinic, regardless of whether or not they have dental insurance. 

We do accept and use benefits from several insurance carriers. While we may or may not be "in-network" with your specific insurance plan, we do want to fully maximize your available benefits. If we are not in-network with your specific plan, we will still apply your benefits if you have "out-of-network" provisions. This will save you hundreds of dollars compared to other endodontic providers in the greater northeast TN area. 

Essentially, you will provide us with your specific insurance information, and our office manager will verify your coverage and available benefits. From there, we will determine an estimate for your portion after application of your benefits. We do emphasize the word "estimate" here. Sometimes your insurance company will not reimburse us appropriately and you will owe us the difference (we really try to limit this scenario with accurate estimates). Other times your insurance company will pay us more than we expected! In this case, we will immediately issue you a refund. 

We accept cash, debit/credit cards, or personal checks for payment. Although we do not apply a surcharge for card use as some businesses do (we as a business have to eat that cost instead of passing it to you as the consumer), we do encourage use of cash or checks.

We believe that our use of your insurance benefits and fee schedule sets us apart compared to other endodontic practices. We avoid the "churn and burn" high productivity model of corporation-ran dental practices, where doctors are pressured to see more patients per day. We also avoid the incredibly costly care of some private practices that are fully fee for service, without use any insurance benefits (where patients are left trying to figure out how to get reimbursed after the fact).
